As we have given you a chance to get to know Maria and Zoe a little more we thought we would give you a chance to know the main person behind Urban.
What is your role within the company?
I am the Company Director. I enjoy being hands-on when we have a site on, whether it’s picking up my paintbrush or collecting materials. I will even make a coffee (or at least go buy it).
What attracted you to the industry?
I started working with my brother straight from school as a decorator and then we fell into shop fitting by default. I enjoy the variety of the jobs we work on and the fact I have grown my skills in other areas since working in the industry
Your favourite project you have worked on?
I don’t have one project that comes to mind but enjoy a challenge. It’s like a child can’t have a favourite.
Biggest changes you have noticed in the industry
Over the years I have noticed many changes, some for the better such as the improvement in Health & Safety. Some for the worse such as the cost of materials, especially in the last couple of years.
